Sagely is a people-first recruitment company. We specialise in professional hiring and have deep recruitment expertise, built over many years working in both external and in-house internal recruitment teams. We operate in a broad range of industries and skill sets, including Executive/Leadership Appointments, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations, Communication & Engagement, and Commercial. We have even been known to dabble in IT and Technical roles too for some of our favourite clients that are looking for our unique support. We focus primarily on permanent and fixed term contract placements.

We believe in being honest about capability, and where our strength lie are in permanent and fixed term placements. As local recruiters we are well connected to the candidate market in the Waikato and also have a strong understanding of how to, where needed, attract candidates from other regions and locations; with our candidate sourcing methodology (steeped in research), and investment in technology, allowing us to identify candidates quickly with the relevant skills and industry experience.
We have a tried and tested methodology which we use as a general process guideline, however what is difficult to express in an overview is both the client focus, candidate care and local reach that we bring to an assignment; just because of who we are and how we wish to operate. Integrity, transparency, and honest conversations are incredibly important to us. This is about getting the right outcome to form a lasting partnership for all parties and we are very conscious that as a client we are representing your brand in the market. It goes without saying that our process is robust and includes all the things that you would expect from a credible recruitment partner including extensive candidate sourcing strategies (advertising, known networks, marketing mapping and research), full interview evaluations, assessment support, reference checking and other probity checks. Most importantly we will always give you an honest opinion about a candidates suitability and will help you get the right person on board.
Candidate Focused
We don’t treat you any differently as a candidate than we do as a client when it comes to the focus on building a relationship with you. Ultimately, we want to work with you to find a new role, but what’s most important to us is that we aid you in that journey and get you thinking about what is going to be the best fit for you. You will get honesty from us, and so that’s what we will ask from you too as we work though the process of getting to know you better.
And yes, this will include some of the tick the boxes stuff around declarations and probity checks, but you will also need to be transparent with us as we go through the screening and interview processes with you. Not everyone is perfect, we need to know the things that you are not so good at or are a learning for you; that’s how we find the right fit for you. When it comes to reference checking too, we want to be in touch with the people that know you best, the ones that can give us a balanced view. We will always be clear about the process we need you to go through, but this will also be dependent on whether we have a specific role in mind or whether we are having a more general conversation with you, but please come prepared to go through a full screening process with us.
